House blaze off A947 road near Macduff tackled by fire crews





Firefighters have been called out to a house blaze off the A947 road close to Macduff.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it received the call about the incident near the junction with Montbletton Road at 4.34pm.

A spokesperson added: “Six appliances and specialist resources are in attendance. It is an ongoing incident.

“Road closures are in place on the A947 due to smoke. Please avoid the area where possible.

“Nearby residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a house fire around 4.30pm. We are assisting with traffic management.”
