Extra police patrols on Moray's roads began this weekend – and will continue for several weeks

Road Policing Sergeant Andy Meikleham said: "With the help of officers from the local community policing team, we have dedicated extra patrols in the Moray area to proactively ensure that the roads of Moray are being used safely by all.

"This will continue for several weeks.

"Through proportionate enforcement of legislation, we will strive to reduce casualties, influence driver behaviour and detect and deter all types of criminality on our roads."
