In the interests of public safety, Scottish Gas contractors have temporarily closed the A98 Union Road/Palmer Cove in Macduff from 3.45pm in order to carry out emergency repairs to a gas main.

It is hoped that the road can be re-opened within the next couple of hours.

However, in the meantime, a temporary diversion has been put in place via A947/ Myrus Cemetery/Duff Street/Old Gamrie Road/A98 and vice versa.
