It comes after the government instructed all pubs, restaurants and clubs to shut as quickly as possible to slow the spread of Covid-19.

Customers will be able to recreate the experience of visiting the bars through its new online platform, which goes live tonight at 6pm.

It is part of a national plan to turn BrewDog’s 48 locations across the UK into virtual bars with their own online experience.

Those over 18 will be able to watch beer tasting, homebrewing masterclasses and take part in online pub quizzes.

The internet sessions will give spectators the chance ask questions, enter giveaways and purchase exclusive merchandise from the Brew Dog online shop.

BrewDog co-founder James Watt said: “Community has always been at the absolute core of what we do.

“And the role that community, and great beer play in our society is now more important than ever.

“Our online bars will be open for business on March 27 at 6pm, and we are scheduling a series of amazing sessions with guest breweries, online tastings, games, entertainment.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming you all and sharing a beer.”

Registration for over 18 year old customers is available here with more information from Brewdog online.
