People across the country are taking to their doors and windows each week to celebrate the hard work of Britain's key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition to clapping and cheering, last week pipers and drummers got involved to make sure that the country's gratitude could be heard loud and proud.

This included members of Ellon RBL Pipe Band, who took to their gardens across the north-east to play Scotland The Brave whilst neighbouring residents clapped.

Due to it's popularity it has been decided that Clap For Our Carers will be a weekly event.

Residents across the country are encouraged to take to their doors, open windows or gardens to clap and cheer as a symbol of gratitude for keyworkers at 8pm each Thursday until normality returns following the pandemic.
