Election 21: Banff and Buchan regional seats revealed as Aberdeenshire East delayed until Saturday

Following delays caused by the Banff and Buchan constituency count this afternoon, the count for the Aberdeenshire East constituency will recommence at 9am tomorrow (Saturday) and will be followed directly by the count for Aberdeenshire West.
Returning officer Jim Savege said: "Our count staff have done an outstanding job today under very different circumstances from previous elections given the Covid protocols."
Earlier this evening the declaration of regional votes cast in the Banffshire and Buchan Coast constituency was made as follows -
Abolish the Scottish Parliament Party – 139 votes - 0.42 per cent share.
Alba Party – 1135 - 3.43 per cent.
All for Unity – 231 - 0.7 per cent.
Freedom Alliance – Integrity, Society, Economy – 189 - 0.57 per cent.
Independent Green Voice – 147 - 0.44 per cent.
Reform UK – 170 - 0.51 per cent.
Renew – 12 - 0.04 per cent.
Restore Scotland – 145 - 0.44 per cent.
Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party – 13,130 - 39.70 per cent.
Scottish Family Party – 286 - 0.86 per cent.
Scottish Green Party – 1167 - 3.53 per cent.
Scottish Labour Party – 2225 - 6.73 per cent.
Scottish Liberal Democrats – 923 - 2.79 per cent.
Scottish Libertarian Party – 47 - 0.14 per cent.
Scottish National Party – 12,919 - 39.06 per cent.
UK Independence Party (UKIP) – 86 - 0.26 per cent.
Farquharson, Geoffrey Alexander – 12 - 0.04 per cent.
Marshall, Laura – 35 - 0.11 per cent.
Electorate – 58,816.
Total votes cast – 33,073.
Turnout – 56.23 per cent.
