Counting is well underway at the P&J Live venue in Aberdeen where the north-east constituencies of Aberdeenshire East, Banff and Buchan and Aberdeenshire West will be counted along with the regional North-east vote.

Friday sees Banff and Buchan first on the counting agenda to be followed by Aberdeenshire East before attention turns to the more hotly contested Aberdeenshire West vote on Saturday.

Running parallel to this is the regional vote for the North-east which draw in list candidates including Mr Salmond's Alba Party and which is expected to be finalised on Saturday evening.
