Election 21: Aberdeen Donside

The first north-east constituency to be called in the Holyrood election, Aberdeen Donside saw a victory for Jackie Dunbar with 18514 votes ahead of Conservative candidate Harriet Cross with 9488 votes, Labour's Heather Herbert with 5505 votes, Liberal Democrat Isobel Davidson with 2162 and Lucas Grant of the Trade Union and Socialist Coallition with 240 votes.

Speaking on her win, Jacke Dunbar said: "It is a privilege to be chosen as the next MSP for the area and to be a strong voice that they voted for and to see that no one gets left behind.

"Donside voters have made it clear that they want Scotland's future to be in Scotland's hands and I cannot wait to get started."

A total of 35909 votes were cast, 58.02 per cent of the electorate.
