ELECTION 2021: Vote counting continues in the north-east

The second day of counting for the north-east constituencies in the Scottish Government election has started in Aberdeen.

The first result that is expected to be announced at P&J Live is Aberdeenshire East, with the counting continued from yesterday.

This will be followed by Aberdeenshire West, which is expected to be keenly contested between Alexander Burnett of the Scottish Conservatives and the SNP's Fergus Mutch.

The north-east regional vote is scheduled to be announced this evening.

Meanwhile, the result for Aberdeen South is also set to be declared.
