East Garioch by-election won by David Keating of Scottish Conservatives

David Keating of the Scottish Conservatives has won the East Garioch by-election.

Mr Keating received 1240 votes to be elected the new councillor for the Aberdeenshire Council ward.

He was followed by Dan Ritchie of the SNP who received 963 votes.

The remaining results were Trevor Mason (Scottish Liberal Democrats) 281; Jamie Ogilvie (Scottish Greens) 130 votes and Andy Brown (Sottish Labour) 111.

The electorate was 10,445, the total verified votes were 2740 and the turnout was 26.2 per cent.
