Around 60 guests were welcomed by Gospel hall elder Stephen Rankin and tucked into an Easter-themed meal of chicken with sweet and sour sauce or chilli followed by strawberry cheesecake topped with wee Easter eggs.

There was plenty of activities for the youngsters with craft games, a quiz for the adults and a young quartet of singers entertained the gathering with modern Easter hymns, Jesus, Thank you and Because He lives.

The Gospel Hall hosts a Monday morning toddlers event and for primary school pupils in the evening.
