Dufftown supermarket closed until further notice after break-in as police appeal for information





A MORAY supermarket has closed until further notice following a break-in last night.

Police say the incident happened at around 1am on June 7 at a premises on Fife Street in Dufftown.

It is understood that the Co-op in Dufftown was the target of the break-in with the store’s manager confirming on Facebook that it will remain closed until further notice as a result of the incident.

Officers say a sum of cash was taken and they are now appealing for information.

Detective Sergeant Richard Cooper said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with any information to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area at the time to come forward.

“Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting incident 0152 of June 7, 2024.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
