A97 road to close for Bridge of Marnoch inspection
A road closure will be in place next week as part of an ongoing bridge inspection programme.
On Thursday, June 12, the A97 Aberchirder to Huntly road will be closed at Bridge of Marnoch from the B9117 junction to the C73L junction from 12.30pm to 3pm.
An Aberdeenshire Council spokesman said: “The recommended diversion is via the A97 to B9001 at Bogniebrae, B9001 to B9024 at Glendronach, B9024 to A947 at Turriff, Turriff via Queens Road, Cross Street, Duff Street, The Square, Market Street, Church Street, Gladstone Terrace, Deveron Street, Deveron Road to B9025, B9025 to A97 at Aberchirder, A97 via South Street, Aberchirder to Bridge of Marnoch.
“Access will be provided for emergency services and vehicles requiring access to immediate properties.
“We appreciate that working on roads and bridges can cause some inconvenience to users, but we would ask that you bear with us as we carry out these essential improvements.”
