The £100,000 worth of works, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will include various drainage improvements including installation of a filter drain to replace collapsed pipework, catchpits, headwall and verge reprofiling and chamber adjustment.

An Amey spokesman said: “These works will help to alleviate flooding problems on the network, improving overall safety on this stretch of the A90 benefitting more than 7850 daily road users.

“Work will take place weekdays from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

“To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be undertaken under alternating near side lane closures and temporary traffic lights.

“Access to properties and farm at Dartfield via access track will be maintained at all times.

“All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.”
