A947 road disqualified driver has vehicle seized by police

Police seized a car after discovering the driver was banned from the roads.

Officers observed the vehicle being driven on the A947 Turriff to Oldmeldrum road with no valid MOT or insurance.

They stopped the car and confirmed the driver was disqualified.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The vehicle has been seized and the driver charged with the offences.

“Road users should ensure they and their vehicles are roadworthy and not put themselves or others at risk.

“Any concerns about traffic related matters should be reported to Police Scotland via 101, using the Contact Us form or anonymously via 0800 555 111.”
