Shop Aberdeen will spring into action in two weeks’ time – with more than 50 retailers offering unique deals and discounts and even special events to draw customers into the Granite City.

Running for four days from Thursday, April 24, to Sunday, April 27, Shop Aberdeen offers a fantastic opportunity for shoppers to bag a bargain while rediscovering the joy of shopping in person.

Organised by Aberdeen Inspired, Shop Aberdeen aims to give “bricks and mortar” businesses a boost while attracting people to the city centre, creating a vibrant and buzzing atmosphere.

Kate Timperley, project manager with Aberdeen Inspired, said: “Shop Aberdeen is a celebration of the city’s fantastic retail sector and a way to remind people of how much is here, from quirky independent boutiques to well-known High Street brands.

“It really is worth coming into Aberdeen to discover these for yourself. Enjoy having a wander around the shops, browsing for the things you need and maybe even discovering some great buys you didn’t even realise you wanted.

“And while in town, why not linger and enjoy Aberdeen’s other great attractions or grab a bite to eat or drink in one of the many restaurants, bars and cafes in the city centre.”

The retailers taking part in Shop Aberdeen range from fashion to footwear, beauty to sportswear, each offering their own special deals to entice and delight customers.

That includes well-known names, such as New Look and Boux Avenue, and cherished local independents such as Juniper, Andrew Begg and Aberdeen Whisky Shop.

Kate said: “Our first Shop Aberdeen event last autumn was a runaway success with both customers and retailers and I’m sure that this second outing will be just as good – so why not come into town and see for yourself what Aberdeen has to offer.”
