Highland dancers from across the world are being invited to take part in a flash mob this weekend...from the safety of their own homes.

At 3pm on Saturday (March 28) the Aberdeenshire League, a group of Highland dancing teachers, are hosting a virtual flashmob on their Facebook page.

Dancers from anywhere are invited to join in by dancing either 16 pas de basques or a Highland fling in their home or garden, and uploading a video of them participating to the flash mob post on Facebook with a note of where in the world they are dancing.

The aim is to bring dancers together - figuratively speaking - for a bit of fun during these unsettling times.
