Damage closes a further rural bridge near Ellon

The C1B at Bronie Bridge to the west of Ellon is to be closed for six months after yet another road traffic accident on the route.

Half the parapet was demolished earlier this month, meaning the narrow bridge - which lies between Hillhead of Ardlethen and West Lodge - will be closed from September 29 to provide safe access for emergency repair works.

A signed diversion will be via A920 (Ellon), South Road, Bridge Street, Station Road (B9005), C42B (Tarves), C1B and vice versa.

The nearby Ardlethen bridge was closed two weeks ago having suffered similarly
