Crudie pupil's portrait of the Queen proves a winner for Turriff Show

Pupils from local primary schools in the Turriff area have seen their artistic success celebrated with the announcement of winners of this year's Turriff Show school's competition.
Show secretary Helen Paterson said: "The judges were really impressed with the very high standard of entries and much thought and hard work had gone into all the many exhibits presented which was great.
"The Bruce Ferguson Trophy this year will be awarded to Crudie Primary School for their excellent winning entry chosen from a vast range of superb entries of ‘Her Majesty The Queen’.
"I am sure that all pupils who took part had fun and will have learned much in the process and I thank you most sincerely for taking the time out of your busy schedule to complete your entries.
"Winning entries can be seen on the Old MacDonald’s InFARMation stand at Turriff Show in The Ferguson Hall and all those who participated in the competition can collect a prize at this stand during the Show.
"All school and class winners receive £40 and individual winners receive a £10 voucher from Celebrations of Turriff.
Winners were as follows -
Crudie - Tilly Gabriel P1; Owen Murison P3; Rory Steel P2 and P4 – 7 Overall trophy winner and class award.
Fintry - Brodie Davidson P7 and Michael Down P7.
Fyvie - Abi Gracey and Mia Fraser P2/3; Anna Maclean P5/6; William O’Connor P3/4; Dominic Williams P5 and P1/2 class award.
King Edward - Katie Marner P6 and Brodie Wackett P1.
Monquhitter - Henry Baron P3 Winner; Emily Windsor P2 and Nursery class award.
Turriff - P2A class award and P6A class award.
