Firefighters managed to put out a blaze at the old manse in Rothiemay yesterday evening.

The service received a call shortly after 9pm.

Engines from Keith, Huntly, and Aberchirder went to the scene as did the water carrier from Turriff.

The blaze damaged the property as well as some stables.

However, it's understood that no people or animals were injured.
