THREE people have suffered serious injuries in a crash near Mill of Durn yesterday afternoon.

Police are appealing for witnesses after two cars collided on the B9022 Portsoy to Huntly road at around 3.15pm.

The first vehicle, a grey Citroen C3, was being driven by an 82-year-old man who was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

His passenger, an 83-year-old woman, was initially taken to Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin, but was later transferred to the infirmary. Both remain there in a serious condition.

A 32-year-old woman was driving the second vehicle, a silver Ford Fiesta. She was also taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and is still in a serious condition.

Sergeant Colin Matheson said: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either car beforehand is urged to contact Police Scotland."

Ring 101, quoting reference number 2460 of 16/05/2019.
