In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 969 positive cases which equates to 4.0 per cent of those tested overall.

The NHS Greater Glasgow area saw 315 cases, Lanarkshire 201, Lothian 121 with the rest spread across Scotland.

NHS Grampian recorded 73 cases while NHS Highland saw seven.

A total of 37 deaths were also recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 as a contributing factor in the last 24 hours.

Public Health Scotland today apologised for the failure to update area based statistics on its online mapping.

The last figures published only cover the seven days up to November 23 and have not been updated since Wednesday, in particular this means that publicly available statistics for Aberdeenshire do not as yet reflect the cluster of cases associated with the food processing plant at Portlethen nor an increase in cases which had started to be recorded around Ellon.
