Aberdeenshire Council has confirmed that the Covid mobile testing centre at Westhill is to remain in the area until Monday next week.

A spokesman said: "Demand for the lateral flow tests has remained very strong over the past couple of days – many thanks to all those who have shared our messaging and please keep up the good work.

"As of tomorrow (Thursday) we will set up camp at Westhill Swimming Pool on Hay’s Way for the remaining few days and the centre will operate at the following times:

Thursday, June 24 - 10am to 3pm.

Friday, June 25 - 1pm to 6pm.

Saturday, June 26 - 10am to 3pm .

Monday, June 28 - 10am to 3pm.

"Remember, our testing centre is only for those without Covid symptoms.

"There is no need to book and it will enable residents to better protect their family, colleagues and the wider community by ensuring they are not spreading the virus to others without realising it.

"We would again encourage all residents and those working within the Westhill area to stick to the protection levels and FACTS guidance at all times."

Community Collect home self test kits are also available at the mobile testing centre, however anyone can order kits online at: https://test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk/order-lateral-flow-kits/restart

If you don’t have digital access, you can book your order by calling 119.
