Moray Council’s £390,000 fund will support town centres in Elgin, Lossiemouth, Buckie, Keith, Dufftown and Aberlour





A £390,000 fund is aiming to support both new and old businesses.

The Town Centre Capital Grant scheme is aiming to support businesses and encourage redevelopment in vacant properties in town centres in Aberlour, Buckie, Dufftown, Elgin, Keith and Lossiemouth.

The fund will offer up to 50 per cent of eligible costs and up to £50,000. Match-funding of at least 50 per cent will be required from the property owner or tenant.

The deadline for the application is Friday, October 11.

Moray Council’s Chair of the Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee, Councillor Marc Macrae (Conservative, Fochabers-Lhanbryde, said “This grant scheme is a great support for our local businesses which still face a challenging environment.

“Our town centre businesses will be able to benefit from the funding, allowing us to direct our efforts towards enhancing the appeal of our town centres.”
