Council closes off unsafe bridge near Turriff for emergency repairs

An unsafe bridge at Milton of Fisherie has been closed for three weeks for emergency repairs.

It impacts on the stretch of road on the C9S Foulzie to Fisherie Cotwells from the U7S Milton of Fishrie Cottage to U11S Bridge of Auchlinn and is located to the west of Greenwood Loch Holiday Park.

A diversion is in place via the C9S to A98 at Fishrie, A98 to U7S at Pitgair and U7S to C9s.

Other upcoming works include - the closure of the C22S between Glasslaw and Upper Mill Cottages. south-west of Turriff which will be subject to a road closure on March 6 for one day between 9am and 6pm to allow safe working to restore service on behalf of Openreach.

A signed diversion will be via B9001, B992 (Auchterless), A947 (Turriff) and vice versa.

Road Closure of the C125B – B9170 to B9027 Road (B9170 junction near New Deer to the B9027 junction near New Byth) will take place for five days commencing on March 15 for carriageway repairs.

Site notices will be erected in due course indicating the temporary restriction to traffic and the alternative routes where applicable.
