Coronavirus update: Still no signs of any decrease in Aberdeenshire cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 5921 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 11.5 per cent of those tested overall

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 1510 cases and NHS Lothian 1129 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 429 cases while NHS Highland recorded 213 cases.

In the seven days to September 9, Aberdeenshire saw 1612 cases (618.1 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1252 (546.6 per 100,000) and Moray 235 (245.5 per 100,000).

Peterhead and Kintore now top the areas for seven day case numbers in Aberdeenshire.

No new deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,140,616 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,777,461 people have received their second dose.
