Coronavirus update: Spread of cases continues across the north-east

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 771 positive cases which equates to 8.6 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 247 cases, Lanarkshire 156 , Lothian 108 and 53 in Tayside with the remaining cases across the rest Scotland.

In the NHS Grampian area there were 49 cases and 11 in NHS Highland.

A total of 41 deaths were also recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 as a contributing factor in the last 24 hours.

In Aberdeenshire in the last seven days to November 21 there have been 165 cases (63.2 per 100,000) and in Aberdeen city for the same time period there were 132 cases (57.7 per 100,000).

Numbers around the Peterhead area are now continuing to show a decline compared to last week, however case numbers have increased in the Ellon town centre sector and in both the Insch and Clashindarroch areas near Huntly.
