Coronavirus update: Small drop in NHS Grampian case numbers

Scotland saw 903 positive cases in the last 24 hours which was slightly down from the previous day's total of 908.

This equated to 7.3 per cent of those tested (4.9 the previous day).

A further four deaths were noted in the last 24 hours with Covid as a contributing factor.

The NHS Greater Glasgow area saw 251 cases (235), Lanarkshire 152 (171) and Lothian 176 (103).

NHS Grampian saw 47 cases (57) while NHS Highland saw 20 (28).

The NHS Grampian area recorded 279 cases in the last seven days taking the overall total to 13,078.

Public Health Scotland's most up to date figures cover the seven days between February 5 and February 11 and show Aberdeenshire recorded 123 cases (up from 118 the previous day) which equated to 2.8 per cent of all tests carried out (same as previous day) and a positive test rate of 47.1 per 100,000 population of (up from 45.2).

For the same time period, Aberdeen City saw 90 cases (down from 97) equating to 2.4 per cent of all tests (down from 2.5) and positive test rate of 39.4 per 100,000 (down from 42.4).

In the daily area figures higher case numbers continue to be recorded in the Fraserburgh Harbour and Broadsea; Westhill Central; and Garlogie and Elrick areas.
