Coronavirus update: Slow down in case numbers

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 3249 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 8.7 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 554 cases and NHS Lothian 408 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 363 cases (244 yesterday) while NHS Highland recorded 227 cases.

In the seven days to November 3, Aberdeenshire saw 976 cases (374.3 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 760 (331.8 per 100,000) and Moray 302 (315.5 per 100,000).

24 new deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,321,350 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,914,397 people have received their second dose.
