Coronavirus update: Scotland sees 1000 new cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1030 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 4.1 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 233 cases, NHS Tayside 145 and NHS Lothian 297.

NHS Grampian saw 32 new cases while NHS Highland recorded six new cases.

In the seven days to June 9 there were 63 new cases in Aberdeenshire (23.7 per 100,000), 125 in Aberdeen City (54.7 per 100,000) and 13 in Moray (13.6 per 100,000).

Two deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,477,378 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,402,700 people have received their second dose.
