In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 6221 positive cases of coronavirus from PCR and LFD testing.

Public Health Scotland has once again changed the way it records area figures.

Statistics now only show positive PCR tests only for neighbourhood areas and health boards and have effectively halved the numbers reported last week which at the time showed all tests.

By this new metric NHS Glasgow recorded 675 cases and NHS Lothian 579 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 353 cases while NHS Highland recorded 164.

In the seven days to January 14 , Aberdeenshire saw 1330 positive PCR tests (510.0 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1429 (623.9 per 100,000) and Moray 458 (478.5 per 100,000).

No new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,400,229 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 4,087,517 people have received their second dose.

A further 3,204,311 have received a third dose or booster.
