Coronavirus update: Overall trend in cases continues to show cases falling in the north-east

Scotland saw 685 positive cases in the last 24 hours an increase from the previous day's total of 1121.

This equated to 3.8 per cent of those tested (5.2 the previous day).

A total of 64 new deaths were noted in the last 24 hours with Covid as a contributing factor.

The NHS Greater Glasgow area saw 158 cases (290), Lanarkshire 100 (230) and Lothian 120 (181).

NHS Grampian saw 26 cases (53) while NHS Highland saw 37 (26).

The NHS Grampian area recorded 252 cases in the last seven days taking the overall total to 13,203.

Public Health Scotland's most up to date figures cover the seven days between February 9 and February 15 and show Aberdeenshire recorded 95 cases (down from 102 the previous day) which equated to 2.4 per cent of all tests carried out (down from 2.5 per cent) and a positive test rate of 36.4 per 100,000 population of (down from 39.0).

For the same time period, Aberdeen City saw 74 cases (down from 78) equating to 2.0 per cent of all tests (down from 2.1 per cent) and positive test rate of 32.4 per 100,000 (down from 34.1).

In the daily area figures case numbers in all areas fell below 10 cases in total for the last seven days even for areas where small flare ups had been seen.
