Coronavirus update: 39 new cases in Aberdeenshire this week

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 211 positive cases which equates to 1.6 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 60 cases and NHS Lanarkshire 58 cases with the remaining cases spread across Scotland.

NHS Grampian reported 18 new cases while NHS Highland recorded two cases.

In the seven days to April 15 there were 39 new cases in Aberdeenshire (14.9 per 100,000), 59 in Aberdeen City (25.8 per 100,000) and 32 in Moray (33.4 per 100,000).

No deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 confirmed in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland over 2,744,000 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and over 738,000 people have received their second dose.
