Coronavirus update: NHS Grampian records drop in cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2627 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 7.9 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 528 cases and NHS Lothian 377 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 276 cases (326 yesterday) while NHS Highland recorded 145 cases (99 yesterday).

In the seven days to October 5, Aberdeenshire saw 958 cases (367.4 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 625 (272.9 per 100,000) and Moray 353 (368.8 per 100,000).

There were 16 new deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,240,984 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,857,442 people have received their second dose.
