Coronavirus update: NHS Grampian records 162 new cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1825 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 6.0 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 435 cases and NHS Lothian 363 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 162 new cases while NHS Highland recorded 71 new cases.

In the seven days to July 17 there were 385 new cases in Aberdeenshire (147.6 per 100,000), 478 in Aberdeen City (208.7 per 100,000) and in Moray 145 (151.5 per 100,000).

22 new deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,989,927 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,028,271 people have received their second dose.
