Coronavirus update: NHS Grampian cases remain static as Shire falls are balanced by increases in Moray

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1760 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 9.4 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 367 cases and NHS Lothian 244 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 231 cases while NHS Highland recorded 65 cases.

In the seven days to September 28, Aberdeenshire saw 849 cases (325.6 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 611 (266.7 per 100,000) and Moray 252 (263.3 per 100,000).

No new deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

In Aberdeenshire the steady fall of cases has continued, with the highest numbers in Banff, Inverurie South and Portlethen areas, while the static level for NHS Grampian overall has remained due to small continued rises in Moray in particular around Elgin and Lossiemouth.
