Coronavirus update: NHS Grampian cases remain static

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2069 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 9.5 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 428 cases and NHS Lothian 340 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 186 cases while NHS Highland recorded 69 cases.

In the seven days to September 24, Aberdeenshire saw 1023 cases (392.3 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 789 (344.5 per 100,000) and Moray 207 (216.3 per 100,000).

One new deaths has been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

Areas which are still showing high number of cases in Aberdeenshire include Blackburn, Durno-Chapel of Garioch, Aberchirder and and Inverurie South.

To date in Scotland more than 4,181,617 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,829,881 people have received their second dose.
