Coronavirus update: National case totals continue to rise

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1011 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 3.0 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 268 cases, NHS Tayside 142 and NHS Lothian 241.

NHS Grampian saw 27 new cases while NHS Highland recorded 13 new cases.

In the seven days to June 6 there were 57 new cases in Aberdeenshire (21.8 per 100,000), 92 in Aberdeen City (40.2 per 100,000) and 15 in Moray (15.7 per 100,000).

One new death was recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,422.431people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,313,695 people have received their second dose.
