Coronavirus update: Level 0 move confirmed for north-east but with modifications

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2529 positive cases of coronavirus (2134 yesterday) which equates to 11.5 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 592 cases and NHS Lothian 594 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 200 (180) new cases while NHS Highland recorded 73 (84) new cases.

For the seven days to July 12 NHS Grampian recorded 1425cases, taking the total in the area to since the start of the pandemic to 20,914.

In the seven days to July 9 there were 524 new cases in Aberdeenshire (200.6 per 100,000), 785 in Aberdeen City (343.3 per 100,000) and in Moray 100 (100.4 per 100,000).

Four new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,941,571 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,903,577 people have received their second dose.

In breaking news - The First Minister has confirmed that the country will move to Level 0 from Monday but with modifications to the restrictions.
