Coronavirus update: Grampian cases remain steady while Scottish figures show slight decline

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 525 positive cases which equates to 3.1 per cent of those tested overall.

A total of 18 deaths were also recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 as a contributing factor in the last 24 hours.

The highest numbers of cases were recorded by NHS Greater Glasgow (151 cases) and NHS Lothian (106 cases) with the remaining 268 new cases found across Scotland.

NHS Grampian saw 19 cases while NHS Highland saw a further 10 cases.

In the seven days to February 24 there were 79 cases in Aberdeenshire (30.2 per 100,000) and 63 in Aberdeen City (27.6 per 100,000).

In the same seven day period there have been 52 cases (54.3 per 100,000) recorded in Moray.

In the past 24 hours an additional 27,224 people in Scotland have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and 6,838 have received their second dose, bring the total number of people to have received both doses over 72,000.
