Coronavirus update: Grampian records 209 new cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2194 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 11.5 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 388 cases, NHS Lanarkshire 366 and NHS Lothian 297 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 209 cases while NHS Highland recorded 84 cases.

In the seven days to October 15, Aberdeenshire saw 937 cases (359.3 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 575 (251.0 per 100,000) and Moray 310 (323.9 per 100,000).

In the last 24 hours 44 new deaths with Covid-19 were recorded in Scotland.

To date in Scotland more than 4,289,119 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,879,942 people have received their second dose.
