Coronavirus update: Grampian cases almost double in 24 hours

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1303 positive cases which equates to 7.9 per cent of newly tested individuals.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 437 cases, Lanarkshire 341, Lothian 155 and Ayrshire 132

In the NHS Grampian area there were 55 cases - almost double the previous days 28 cases, and NHS Highland reported 13 cases.

In the seven days up to October 23 there have been 64 cases in Aberdeenshire (24.5 per 100,000) and 95 (41.5) in Aberdeen city.

A single further death was registered yesterday for those tested positive in the last 28 days.
