Coronavirus update: Further rise in NHS Grampian case numbers

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 3360 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 8.8 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 577 cases and NHS Lothian 550 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 426 cases (326 yesterday and 254 the day before) while NHS Highland recorded 223 cases (134 yesterday).

In the seven days to November 13, Aberdeenshire saw 935 cases (358.5 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1009 (440.5 per 100,000) and Moray 547 (571.5 per 100,000).

Cases have again risen across the north-east with Fraserburgh and Peterhead joining rises seen in Huntly, Kintore and Inverurie.

In Moray, Elgin and surrounding area increases are also being replicated in particular in Keith.

13 new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,332,835 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,931,709 people have received their second dose.
