Coronavirus update: First tentative signs of cases decreasing in the north-east

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 3375 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 11.4 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 788 cases and NHS Lothian 541 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 312 cases while NHS Highland recorded 135 cases.

In the seven days to September 11, Aberdeenshire saw 1608 cases (616.6 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1169 (522.1 per 100,000) and Moray 253 (264.3 per 100,000).

21 new deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,144,904 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,788,551 people have received their second dose.
