Coronavirus update: Figures show cases remain high in areas which will remain in Level 2

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 677 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 2.8 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 195 cases, NHS Lanarkshire 86 and NHS Lothian 160.

NHS Grampian saw 21 new cases while NHS Highland recorded 17 new cases.

In the seven days to May 30 there were 21 new cases in Aberdeenshire (8.0 per 100,000), 36 in Aberdeen City (15.7 per 100,000) and 9 in Moray (9.4 per 100,000).

One new death was recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,286,261 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,106,170 people have received their second dose.
