Coronavirus update: Figures show an slight easing off of north-east cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2932 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 7.2 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 556 cases and NHS Lothian 476 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 332 cases while NHS Highland recorded 133 cases.

In the seven days to November 22 Aberdeenshire saw 907 cases (347.8 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1016 (443.6 per 100,000) and Moray 495 (517.2 per 100,000).

More areas are now showing a decline again, with the exception of Ellon where figures have climbed steadily during the past seven days.

20 new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,342,107 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,942,927 people have received their second dose and 1,535,623 have received a third dose or booster.
