Coronavirus update: Fall in positive cases continues

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2389 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 8.3 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 439 cases and NHS Lothian 328 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 244 cases while NHS Highland recorded 144 cases.

In the seven days to November 2, Aberdeenshire saw 999 cases (383.1 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 757 (330.5 per 100,000) and Moray 314 (328.1 per 100,000).

25 new deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,321,770 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination (this figure is still awaiting latest figures) and over 3,912,518 people have received their second dose.
