Coronavirus update: Drop in cases in Aberdeenshire

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2317 positive cases of coronavirus (2047 yesterday) which equates to 8.6 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 533 cases and NHS Lothian 490 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 175 new cases while NHS Highland recorded 111 new cases.

In the seven days to July 14 there were 512 new cases in Aberdeenshire (196.0 per 100,000), 662 in Aberdeen City (289.5 per 100,000) and in Moray 156 (162.8 per 100,000).

Four new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,970,026 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,954,776 people have received their second dose.
