Coronavirus update: Drop in cases for NHS Grampian and on national level

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1505 positive cases of coronavirus (1825 yesterday) which equates to 6.4 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 397 cases and NHS Lothian 269 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 131 (162) new cases while NHS Highland recorded 73 (71) new cases.

For the seven days to July 22 NHS Grampian recorded 945 cases, taking the total in the area since the start of the pandemic to 22,436.

In the seven days to July 20 there were 341 new cases in Aberdeenshire (130.8 per 100,000), 448 in Aberdeen City (195.6 per 100,000) and in Moray 144 (150.5 per 100,000).

Six new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,992,327 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,044,803 people have received their second dose.
