Coronavirus update: Downward trend in cases continues

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2012 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 11.0 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 312 cases and NHS Lothian 244 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 258 cases while NHS Highland recorded 174 cases.

In the seven days to November 5, Aberdeenshire saw 951 cases (364.7 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 796 (347.5 per 100,000) and Moray 355 (370.9 per 100,000).

No new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,323,549 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,917,210 people have received their second dose.
